Exeter 4 piece RAT ATTACK are riding a party-punk wave to the summit of the UK rock scene since self releasing their 5 track debut EP in 2013 to critical acclaim from the likes of Metal Hammer, The Guardian, Kerrang!, Front and Rock Sound. They will be releasing the new single ‘Look Back And Laugh’ as a free download from their Facebook page on September 9th, and it will be the final release from their debut, self titled EP. Brand new material will be ready and unleashed early 2014. Watch this space.
Bristol, UK: a city best known in the pop-culture lexicon for Banksy, Roni Size and Portishead, and therefore perhaps not the most obvious breeding ground for the musical offspring of Davey Havok’s impassioned catharsis. But, with their kinetic new album ‘With Tape And Needles’, Ashestoangels look set to put Brizzo on the musical map of the macabre, its gloom-soaked tones spiked and studded mini-anthems for the disenfranchised.
Degenerate loner punks Drug Church are streaming the track ‘Donny’s Woods’ taken from “Paul Walker”, the excellently named full length follow up to their self-titled debut EP. Donny’s Woods is “a song about how quickly people will forget about your ass”. Sonically, it’s a snarling rager of gravelly punk rock bitterness and a perfect introduction to those who might be new to Drug Church.
No Age will release An Object, their 4th album, on CD, LP and digitally August 19 in Europe and August 20th in North America via Sub Pop. The album, led by highlights “I Won’t Be Your Generator,” “C’mon, Stimmung,” “An Impression,” and “Lock Box”, was recorded by F. Bermudez and No Age at Gaucho’s Electronics in Los Angeles.
