Funeral For A Friend will unleash the second single from forthcoming album ‘Conduit’ through Distiller Records on 11th February. ‘The Distance’ is a song about one particular tour endurance test the band went through and the accompanying music video reflects experiences on the road in a van as a five piece.

Having recently announced the forthcoming release of the sixth studio album of their formidable career, Funeral For A Friend have now unveiled the first single to be taken from ‘Conduit’. The track, ‘Best Friends And Hospital Beds’, revolves around themes of friendship and death with the accompanying music video (directed by Ryan Mackfall) set in a bleak and derelict landscape. The single will be released on 12th November following the band’s appearance at the now sold out Vans Warped Tour UK date at London’s Alexandra Palace on 10th November.

Seminal Welsh rock band Funeral For A Friend will release the sixth album of their career on 28th January, 2013. Titled ‘Conduit’, it’s the follow up to 2011’s critically acclaimed ‘Welcome Home Armageddon’ and is the first album since the addition of new drummer Pat Lundy. FFAF chose to work with producer Romesh Dodangoda again after their success partnering on the band’s last couple of records. Vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye speaks of their working union “To me he gets our individual personalities and works his magic with each of us, making sure that we’re all comfortable with what we have to do for the record.”

One of the UK’s most significant rock bands of the past decade is gearing up to begin a fresh new era as they announce the departure of long-serving drummer Ryan Richards and welcome new drummer Pat Lundy, formerly of Rise To Remain, to the fold. Lundy’s first performances with the band will be at Slam Dunk Festival, starting with the sold-out Leeds date on 26th May and then at Hatfield on 27th May.

Funeral For A Friend are a 5 piece from Bridgend, Wales. They formed in 2001 and have 5 studio albums, seven EPs, and one compilation album (which the guys are so proud of… NOT) under their belt. They have survived line-up changes, label changes and the changing music scene and over 10 years from when they started they have released a new album ’Welcome Home Armageddon!
