Following an amazing year, Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2012 champions, I Divide, took to the Red Bull Studios in October to record their latest E.P, ‘A New Assignment’. Tomorrow the four-piece will see their record released to thousands on the cover of one of the UKs most renowned music magazines, Rock Sound.
For two weeks the band worked with Ben Humphreys and John Mitchell – the producing legends behind tracks from Lower Than Atlantis, Architects and You Me at Six – on what is set to be one hell of a record. Today you can watch their journey from the bedroom to the studio here: http://bit.ly/UCqzt7 and see what they got up to in the South London recording studios. To have a listen to the E.P for yourself pick up a copy of Rock Sound from tomorrow!
The band started their Red Bull Bedroom Jam journey back in January this year when they uploaded their music video to the Bedroom Jam site. After shooting to the top of the buzz chart landing them a live show filmed in their bedroom, they were then picked to join the festival tour heading to Download, Slam Dunk and Hevy festivals. After smashing it on the festival tour, the band were picked by the Bedroom Jam judges to join two other bands in the live final. Giving one of their best performances of the year, the public chose them as the 2012 champs, securing the band recording time in the Red Bull Studios and a support slot on Funeral For A Friend’s UK wide tour next year.
The band will be touring with Funeral For A Friend in January & February. For more details and to check out the band’s journey go to www.redbullbedroomjam.com
