Introducing: Target:Renegades

Target:Renegades (formerly Hellbound Rebels) are four hard-working, hard-rockers from the North-West of England. The band formed from the ashes of Warrington metal band Abyss when Dan Fido (Guitar/Vocals) and Jack Hamnett (Bass) sought a new sound. Adam Hulse was installed as lead vocalist after a handfull of intense practice sessions and quickly followed by Steve Erskine on drums who was throwing the dice one last time. Fan favourite track Vulture was born out of these early sessions as the band quickly built a diverse and strong set through hard-work and heartache. Vulture is sure to be the bands breakthrough track and Adam describes it as a “bitter anthem for the disillusioned masses.”

A mix of influences that branches over several genres is held together by a collective sense of wanting to break out of a working class rut. Adam sneers at a failing system as he delivers melodic vocals over waves of crunching guitar courtesy of Dan. Jacks metal, bass rumblings and Steves heavy handed beats only add to the overall sense of tension within their dark rock sound.

The band have a growing reputation as an energetic and entertaining live act and have a proven record of surprising crowds with their showmanship and effort. Having played showcases across the North-West and announcing their intentions on the festival scene at the first ever Out Of The Ashes festival in June 2012, the band have also supported seminal Punk band The Vibrators, I Am Giant (fresh from supporting Slash) and Dirty North (Stone Roses support band) to name but a few. The bands debut EP “Corruption For Beginners” is available as a free download from here.
